Christmas is coming early to the InDesign Users in Melbourne this year!
We have read all your topic requests and we will be ending 2007 with the most requested topic - Type and Typography! There's no surprise that Type made it to the topic of the wanted list.
Sarah Jones of RMIT's International Centre of Graphic Technology will be giving us the low-down on the familiar and the not-so-familiar:
- The Type Palette

- Glyphs
- Bullet and numbered lists
- Special characters, white space, break characters

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Name: Sarah Jones
Specialty: Typography
Sarah Jones has had a varied history in the prepress and design industry. She currently teaches at RMIT's International Centre of Graphic Technology on Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, typography, imposition, design and many others.
Prior to her working full time at RMIT, she ran a graphic design and prepress business and won gold at the International Worldskills Competition in Switzerland in the Graphic Design Category (www.worldskills.org.au or http://www.worldskills.org). She is now a regional & national judge and competition writer for the graphic prepress category.
