Making a great impression – Digital Printing Workshop (NSW)
When: 1st September 2008
Time: 06:00pm
Guest speaker Theo Pettaras will look at how “innovative thought can lead to an extraordinary product.” Theo is nothing if not a bold and passionate man. A self-confessed design junkie and a veteran in the printing industry, he’s earned a reputation as one of the first commercial printers to become an exclusive digital print producer. He formed Digitalpress in 2006, since then they have provided the highest quality award-winning digital print to some of Sydney’s prestigious design agencies. Digitalpress have filled the gap between offset and digital print, which has resulted in an unprecedented positive response from the Sydney design community. Theo’s presentation will be about his journey from offset to digital, with focus on pros and cons of digital v’s offset and how to produce the best in class innovative digital print.
To help present the digital print story, Theo has invited along three experts in the field.
Ken Williams is Excel Australasia’s Managing Director. He is as knowledgeable about direct marketing as he is about digital print technology. Ken will share how to create full service marketing strategies from using basic print runs, complex variable data jobs involving multiple imagery and text combinations through to personalised URLs and SMS campaigns.
Michael Smedley is Kodak Graphic Communication Group’s, Chief Channel Manager and is involved in all facets of digital print marketing. Mike will talk about unique abilities the digital printing press offers.
