B2B 44: Fashion Illustration (QLD)
When: 23rd May - 23rd May 2009
Time: 09:30am - 12:30pm
For over 500 years, fashion Illustration has allowed the freedom to portray fashion as the artist wishes - with few boundaries for interpreting the fashion model, the garment, colour and movement.
AGDA invites you and your friends to a morning of fashion illustration to explore this art form and to discover your individual illustration style. In this introductory workshop, we shall explore a brief history of fashion illustration and look at techniques used to develop the fashion drawing.
Instructed by graphic designer and illustrator Marcos Caycho, bring along your favourite drawing materials: charcoals, pen & ink, pastels, coloured pencils or watercolours and an A3 drawing pad. Basic drawing materials and paper will also be available. No experience is needed, so come and enjoy the morning over a drop of champagne with colleagues and friends. Hope to see you there.
Venue: Qld College of Art - 226 Grey Street, South Brisbane Room S02_4.35 (4th Floor)
Cost: Free to AGDA members; $10 for non-members.
qld@agda.com.au by Thursday 21 May 2009.
Basic drawing materials, paper and morning tea provided.
Numbers limited.
