In the boom years, it was all about how designers could best exploit their IP rights. Now it’s a case of survival in the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.

Come along and hear Chris Finn, AGDA’s long-term legal advisor talk about business survival tactics in these tough times. He recommends that the telescope should be turned around, so to speak, and clients encouraged to look at how best they can protect their IP rights – particularly the copyright designers create for them – thus also adding value to designers’ services.

In this context, Chris will also address the 'hot topic' of the day – free pitching – is it essential in this economic climate? If it is, how best can a designer turn it to their advantage? Chris will have notes available to all attendees.
